The reason that made me choose to make a survey in how space (exterior-interior) is related to religion and generally in religious temples is the changes in the relations between states or/and between people that took place the last 20 to 30 years. If someone studies the different religious he will find more similarities than differences. Most of them speak of “one god”, they give emphasis to life after death, set questions about soul, spirit, mind, etc.

Such as to understand better the religions we could attempt to make an approach to the some basic notion of semiotic, such as sign, signifier, syntax, symbol and others. The semiotic is connected to architecture in different ways. The religious architecture is plenty of signs, symbols that are inseparably connected to the substance of semiotics. Words such as shape, repetition, colour, form, materiality, light and others are being analyzed in connection with other words that have a religious significance such as hope, isolation, calmness, mystery, fear, meditation. The project is focused on showing the concept of meditation and how it is reflected in various temples.

Some of the main elements that I use to underpin the practise of meditation in that space.
- Located in an isolated place
- Wooden pillars in repetition for calmness
- Natural elements (water, light) inside the artificial space
- Cylindrical shape
- Use of materials such as wood and concrete

The part of the temple that is outside the building will be constructed by materials that are closed to nature (wood, grass, use of water). In contrary, the inside part will be constructed by concrete, plaster, marble. Both the two parts come to unity with the support of the temple’s shape.
